How To Promote Your Affiliate Links

This is the part where most new affiliates fail and give up after one of two years of trying without earning any money.

Learning how to promote and where to promote is very important as it will directly affect the amount of money you will be making.

1. Write Great Content Every Day

One thing that is common in all these money making blogs are they all have great content.

You might be thinking how having great content is related to making money with your affiliate links?

Take Local Adventurer blog for example.

He/She writes great travel content targeting people who love to travel.

Knowing that their visitors love to travel, they can write posts to recommend the best travel destinations, shoes or even best luggage.

In these posts is where they post their affiliate links.

This is one way you can add affiliate links in the content you are writing.

This is a win-win for both the blogger and for the visitor.

The visitor reads your content, trusts your expertise and ends up subscribing or buying something that you suggest.

2. Email List

Having an email list is probably the most important piece of the puzzle.

From day one, you should focus on building a capture page and start collecting leads to whom you can broadcast your messages and promotions. Your email list is a great way to promote your affiliate products and services.

As they say the money IS in the list. In my experience this is absolutely True!

If you have a blog but have not yet build your email list. My advice to you is you should start building as soon as possible. A lot of affiliate sales are made through the email list.

Offer something of value to your visitors when they visit your blog: such as printable, free e-book, or something similar. This is to encourage them to join your email list.

Getting people to subscribe to your list isn't easy, to be honest, because many buyers out there aren't always in favour of receiving promotions, unless they asked to get your emails :). Check this post to see the list of programs I use to get access to quality leads with no effort.

To collect email addresses and be able to send messages at will is GetResponse. This system allows you to send your subscribers automatic messages for long as you want without lifting a finger. You can add you one time blasters when needed to communicate with them. They also allow you to create beautiful landing pages to help you increase your subscription rate. Be warned, all other autoresponders are not as affiliate friendly as GetResponse so save yourself time by going to the tool that works. It happened to me ;)

3. Social Media Networks

I recommend using Pinterest to promote your affiliate products. I personally have good result pinning my own affiliate product links on Pinterest.

Pins that I have pinned last year are still bringing in sales for me.

You can drive traffic to your posts via Pinterest too. Many bloggers have seen great result using this way.

Facebook is also a great way to increase visibility to your brand simply because you get high ranking backlinks to your blog. Create a group and join other groups, discuss the common topics. Over time you should start gaining followers.

Other great social media are Twitter, Quora, Reddit, Instagram. It just depends on how much time you have to spend on them.

I prefer paid advertising because this spreads the awareness of my brand at lightning speed.

4. Paid Advertising

Paid advertising is any advertising that you have to pay for.

There are two methods of Paid Advertising:

1.

This simply means that the marketer pays the owner of the ad space in exchange to use that space. The price payable for the ad space are mainly through a bidding process.

Google, Bing, Facebook, Twitter, etc are some of the places you can place your advertisement.

2.

Pay a set monthly fee and let the service scan the above mentioned spaces, collect quality emails for you and all you have to do is send offers out once every day. This method is cheap and very effective ;). Check the detailed breakdown on this page.

On top of my own list I have (priority #1), it takes me 5-10 minutes to send my emails out every day and I am set to do whatever I want for the rest of my day.
